Helen M. Miller, of Sellersville, formerly of Ardsley, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on Saturday, October 6, 2012, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township. She had celebrated her 85th birthday on September 17.
She was the beloved wife of the late John H. Miller, Jr. for 51 years until his death in 1999.
Born in Gwynedd Valley, she was the daughter of the late George A. and Nellie (McGlen) McInaw.
Helen was a telephone operator for many years; first, with Bell Telephone and later at Sears, both of Jenkintown. During World War II, she had worked as a machinist for Standard Press Steel, Jenkintown.
Mrs. Miller was a longtime member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville, where she was a member of the Silver & Gold Club.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Nase-Kraft Post No. 25, Sellersville. Helen had also volunteered at Grand View Hospital, Sellersville.
Helen had enjoyed gardening, music, and dancing, especially the jitterbug. With her husband, she had loved traveling worldwide. She always looked forward to wintering in Naples, FL. Mrs. Miller especially loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her three sons: John H. Miller, III; Donald A. Miller and his wife, Mary Ella; Joseph F. Miller and his wife, Sheila; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Catherine Deacon.
In addition to her husband, Helen was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony McInaw.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 12, in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, where family and friends may call from 9 a.m. until 9:45 a.m.
Interment will be in the adjoining parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer Mass Cards.
