Doris Miller

Doris Miller, of Hatfield, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, September 3, 2017. She was 81.

She was the beloved wife of the late William H. Miller for 48 years until his death in 2000. They had met at the Trolley Stop.

She was the daughter of the late Stewart L. and Beulah (Landes) Haberle.

Although gifted with interior design, Doris had enjoyed sewing at Hatfield Trousers, Fogel & Feingold, and Landis Drapery.

Mrs. Miller had attended the Silverdale Brethren in Christ Church, Silverdale.

Her favorite pastime was gardening, an interest she passed along to her great–grandchildren. She had also enjoyed reading in her secret garden and feeding and watching the birds. Recently, she enjoyed crocheting with the Silverdale Stitchers.

She is survived by her children, Sherry Roberts and her husband, Eugene, of Sellersville, PA; and Larry Miller and his wife, Cynthia, of Frenchtown, MT; siblings, James Haberle, of Telford, PA; Sandra Housekeeper of Sellersville, PA; Patricia Mullin, of Perkasie, PA; Russell Haberle and his wife, Janet, of Sellersville, PA; Faye Barndt and her husband, James, of Perkasie, PA; and Laverne Haberle, of Sellersville, PA; grandchildren, Nicole and Douglas; great- grandchildren, Jaeden and Kya; and many aunts and uncles.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Joan Fitzgerald, David Haberle, and Carl Haberle, and a granddaughter, Megan.

Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at the Silverdale Brethren in Christ Church,165 West Main Street, Silverdale, PA 18962, where a viewing will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12, and again on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until time of service.

Interment will be private in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler.
