Vincent C. Mcginty

January 4, 1955 — August 27, 2018

Vincent C. McGinty, of Center Valley, passed peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Monday, August 27, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. He was 63.

He was the husband of Tracy (Jones) McGinty, of Center Valley, for almost forty years.

Born in Utica, New York, he was the son of Mary Jane (Breitenberg) McGinty Storrier, of New Hartford, New York, and the late Vincent J. McGinty. He was also the stepson of the late Sheldon F. Storrier.

Vince graduated from New Hartford High School in 1973 and from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1976.

Vince’s professional life included positions in sales, marketing, and at the executive level in manufacturing companies, including Exide Batteries, Solarex, Kulicke & Soffa, and Denton Vacuum. He was proudest of his time as president of Rhetech, Inc., in Coopersburg, PA, from 2001 to 2011. He maintained warm relationships with many of his former colleagues, and they still speak of him fondly.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Perkasie.

As a resident of the Pennridge community for over thirty years, Vince was a member of the West Rockhill-Sellersville Joint Recreation Commission, a board member of the TLC Child Care Center, in Perkasie, and a treasurer of Boy Scout Troop 1, in Sellersville.

Vince loved his family, travel, photography, writing, running, and biking. He completed the Erie Rail Trail ride from Buffalo to Albany in 2016. Well-read in history and current events, he loved to discuss both. He was well known for his wit and sharp sense of humor.

In addition to his wife and mother, Vince is survived by his son, Vincent B. McGinty, and his wife, Miriam Rosenberg-Lee, of Maplewood, New Jersey; his daughter, Samantha McGinty Dutton, and her husband, Steve Dutton, of Allentown; and four grandchildren, Vincent Isaac and Alice Ruth, in New Jersey, and Lila Rae and Teddy Mae, in Pennsylvania.

He is also survived by his two brothers, Anthony McGinty and his wife, Michi, of Pasadena, CA, and Brian McGinty and his wife, Robin, of Flower Mound, TX; their children, Brian McGinty, Catherine McGinty, and Sarah McGinty Mahon and her husband, Josh Mahon; and an aunt, Sheila McGinty, of New Hartford, New York. Vince is also survived by a step-sister, Cindy Storrier Griem, and her husband, Robert of Aspen, CO; and a step-brother, Thomas Storrier, and his wife, Caroline, and their daughters, Bailey and Paige, of Wilton, CT.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled at 11:30 a.m., Monday, September 10, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 19 S. Fifth Street, Perkasie, PA 18944, where a visitation will be held from
10: 00 a. m. until time of service.

Interment in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Perkasie will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
