Ethel L. Mccormick

July 13, 1931 — May 31, 2017

Ethel L. McCormick, of Sellersville, who had previously resided at Hidden Meadows on the Ridge, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017, in the Peter Becker Community, Franconia Township. She was 85.

She was the beloved wife of the late Richard J. McCormick for 65 years, until his death in 2014.

Born in Whitemarsh Township, Ethel was the daughter of the late Raymond and Ethel (Mumenthaler) Trexler.

She had been employed as a circuit board technician for Tracor AEL Industries, Lansdale. Previously, she had worked in sales for Gimbel Brothers Department Store, Cheltenham.

Ethel was a long-time member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville.

She had truly adored raising her children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren.

Mrs. McCormick is survived by her six children, Elizabeth A. McMahon and her husband, Raymond, of Oreland, PA; Richard J. McCormick, of McLean, VA; Thomas J. McCormick and his wife, Marie, of Milford, PA; William F. McCormick, of Allentown, PA; Patrick J. McCormick and his wife, Rebecca, of Telford, PA; Sean Q. McCormick, and his wife, Joyce, of Mohnton, PA; a brother, Jack Trexler, of Philadelphia, PA; a sister, Elaine Pantalone, of Sellersville, PA; nine grandchildren, Amy, Jennifer, Adam, Nicholas, Angela, Billy, Colin, Sarah, and Logan; one step-granddaughter, Jessica; five great-grandchildren, Matthew, Raymond, Julianne, Connor, and Ava; and one step-great-grandson, Evan.

In addition to her husband, Ethel was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Trexler, who passed away earlier this year.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 7, 2017, in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, where a visitation will be held from 9 to 9:45 a. m.

Interment will be held privately at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Agnes Catholic Church at the address above.
