Nelson D. Martin

Nelson D. Martin, of West Rockhill Township, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. He was 74.

He was the beloved husband of Evelyn (Kreider) Martin for 48 years.

Born in Bally, PA, Nelson was the son of the late Henry and Dorothy (Denlinger) Martin.

Employed for 22 years as a teacher at Christopher Dock Academy, Lansdale, Mr. Martin had worked previously at the Bellville Mennonite School from 1972-1978 in Bellville, PA.

An avid bird watcher, he also enjoyed gardening and camping.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Martin is survived by his four brothers and one sister: Glen Martin and his wife, Rose; Tom Martin and his wife, Lois, all of Bally; Dave Martin and his wife, Sandy, of New Jersey; Fred Martin, of Colorado; and Marty (Martin) Minninger and her husband, Steve, of North Carolina. He is also survived by his two sons: Luke Anthony Martin and his wife, Mandy; and Jon Aaron Martin and his wife, Betsy, all of Sellersville; his daughter, Anika Mullen, and her husband, Tim, of Tennessee; and five grandchildren: Lela Martin, Rylie Martin, Colin Martin, Avery Martin, and Brayden Mullen.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Liza Jane Martin.

His Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 15, at the Reformed Baptist Church of Franconia, 644 Allentown Road, Telford, PA 18969, where a visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service.

A private interment will follow in Perkasie Mennonite Cemetery.
