Florence J. (Tluszcz) Martin

July 18, 1939 — August 29, 2012

Florence Jennie (Tluszcz) Martin, 73, of Quakertown, formerly of Trumbauersville, Dublin, Blooming Glen, and Perkasie, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, in LifeQuest Nursing Center, Milford Township.

Born in Trumbauersville, she was the daughter of the late Stanley J. and Viola M. (Schaffer) Tluszcz.

Florence was a 1957 graduate of Pennridge High School, where she was editor of the Weekly News and played clarinet in the PHS Marching Band.

She had been employed in the office of Sleepy Hollow Ranch, of Trumbauersville, and at David Crystal Clothing, formerly of Reading and Quakertown. For many years she had also given accordion lessons from her studio in Dublin.

Florence was a former member of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hilltown, and St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville.

While Florence loved all animals, she had a special place in her heart for her Boston terriers.

Florence is survived by her dear friends, Karen Gallagher and her husband, Ed, of Richlandtown.

Services are private. Interment will be in St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (Keller’s Church) Cemetery, Perkasie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Florence’s name to the Bucks County SPCA, 1665 Street Road, Box 277, Lahaska, PA 18931.
