Eleanor Marsteller, of Perkasie, formerly of Sellersville, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, in LifeQuest Nursing Center, Milford Township. She was 92.
She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Thomas F. Marsteller, who died in 1986.
Born in Manyunk, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Helen (Orbanes) Godlewski.
Mrs. Marsteller had been employed as a receptionist in her husband’s chiropractic office in Sellersville. As a younger woman, she had worked in several local clothing factories and the former Hubbert's Baseball Factory, of Perkasie.
Eleanor was a long-time member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville, where she had been a member of the Silver & Gold Club.
An avid gardener, Eleanor also enjoyed reading, cooking, and baking.
Mrs. Marsteller is survived by her two sons: Edward G. Means, Jr. and his wife, Dolores, of Sellersville; David J. Means, and his wife, Patti, of Perkasie; twelve grandchildren: Lori Ann, Lee, Mark, Greg, Ed III, Charles, Tim, Tom, Byron, Jenna, Jessica, Andrew; fourteen great- grandchildren; a sister, Lenore Souder, and her husband, James, of Perkasie; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence Godlewski and Victor J. Godlewski; and a sister, Victoria M. Domino.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 11, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, where a visitation will be held from 10 – 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the adjoining parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Eleanor’s name may be made to St. Agnes Catholic Church at the address above.
