Rose Marie Maria

“The Angels took Rosie to Heaven” as Rose Marie Maria, of Perkasie, passed away in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township, on Sunday, March 5, 2017. She was 68.

She was the life partner of Jane Rothermel, Perkasie.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph J., Sr. and Rose M. (Keller) Cassell.

Rose had been employed as an LPN at Neshaminy Manor, Warrington until her retirement.

Rose was a long-time member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville.

An avid NASCAR fan, Rose also enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Phillies. In addition, she liked Elvis Presley, playing bingo, reading, and watching television cooking shows. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her life partner, she is survived by her five children, Anthony J. Maria (Kim), of Frostproof, Florida; Donna L. Harp, of Quakertown; Jennifer L. Schnakenberg (William), of Chalfont; Joanne McGough (Shawn), of Quakertown; Jacqueline R. Maria (Blake), of East Greenville; and nine grandchildren, Sydney, Ashton, Chesney, Avery, Bryce, Quinn, Lucas, Liam, and Jaxon.

She is also survived by a sister, Shirley Pugh and her husband, Charles, of Sumneytown; a brother, Joseph J. Cassell, Jr., of East Rockhill; a niece, Michelle D. Kier; a nephew, James E. Pugh; and her former husband, Paul N. Maria, of Ocala, Florida.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 10, in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, where a visitation will be held from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m.

Interment in the adjoining parish cemetery will follow.
