Margaret M. Malone, 89, of Quakertown, formerly of Richlandtown, passed away Monday, February 25, in Quakertown Center - Genesis HealthCare, Quakertown.
She was the beloved wife of the late Robert W. Malone, who died in 1994.
Born in Northampton, England, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Violet (Perkins) Warwick.
Margaret met her husband, an American serviceman, during WWII. They married and moved to the United States in 1946, settling in Illinois. The Malones came to the Quakertown area in 1983.
In England, she had been employed as a seamstress in a clothing factory. Primarily a homemaker after her marriage, Mrs. Malone had also worked in the Grand View Hospital snack shop for many years.
She had been an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses since 1951.
A loving, kind "people person," Margaret was the devoted caregiver to her husband for 15 years as he fought Parkinson’s disease.
Mrs. Malone especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Robert M. Malone and his wife, Karen, of Hilltown Township; two grandchildren: Erin MacDonough and her husband, Matt, of Blandon, PA; Ian Malone and his wife, Rachel, of Macungie; and two great-grandchildren: Eva Merryn and Gavin Matthew.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 6, at 4 p.m. in the Kingdom Hall, 1037 Spur Road, Souderton, PA 18964.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kingdom Hall at the above address.
