William F. Luby, 76, of Sellersville, formerly of Bedminster, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 18, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the beloved husband of Janice F. (Loux) Luby. They would have celebrated their 54th anniversary on January 9.
Born in Abington on July 27, 1934, he was the son of the late William F. and Grace (Greer) Luby. Bill attended Abington High School.
Mr. Luby was a U.S. Army veteran.
Employed as a Teamster for Glasgow, Inc., of Glenside, for 34 years, he retired in 1996.
Since 1975, Mr. Luby had been an active member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1539, Sellersville.
Bill enjoyed sports and spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed being a "PopPop."
In addition to his wife, Mr. Luby is survived by his three children: Phyllis Curry and her husband, Tracy, of Quakertown; William Luby, Jr., and his wife, Kelly, of Hatfield; Barbara Hillmantel and her husband, David, of Barto; seven grandchildren: Alison, Jessica, and Christopher Curry; Adam and Amber Luby; Griffin and Grace Hillmantel; and a sister, Eleanor Orrino, of Port Charlotte, FL.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 23, at 11:00 AM in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, December 22, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM or on Thursday morning, from 10:00 AM until time of service.
Interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross, Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter, 2221 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
