Alverda (Wenhold) Link-Schmeck

Alverda “Al” Link-Schmeck, of Quakertown, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, Wednesday, February 24, 2016, in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown. She was 92.

She was the beloved wife of the late Earl A. Schmeck, who died in 2000.

Born in Almont, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mamie (Nase) Wenhold.

Al had been employed for many years as a waitress at several local restaurants.

Mrs. Link-Schmeck had loved spending time with her family and friends. She had also enjoyed crocheting, baking, doing word finds and crossword puzzles, and playing bingo. Al had also liked traveling, especially bus trips to Atlantic City.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary L. Docktor, of Pennsburg; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Delvine Link, and a grandson, Christopher Phillips.

All services will be private.

Interment will be in Jerusalem Union Cemetery, Sellersville.
