Phyllis J. Lachman

Phyllis J. Lachman, of Doylestown, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023, in Doylestown Hospital. She was 68.

She was the beloved wife of the late Jeffrey H. Lachman for 34 years until his death in 2007.

Born in San Bernardino, CA, she was the daughter of the late William and Ruth (Kircher) Taylor. Phyllis graduated from Central Bucks West High School, Doylestown.

Phyllis had been employed for 20 years as a bus driver by the Bethel Baptist Upper Bucks Christian School, Sellersville. She had also worked for many years as an assistant manager for Dollar General, in Plumsteadville.

Mrs. Lachman was a long-time member of Bethel Baptist Church, Sellersville, where she had taught Sunday school.

A passionate crafter, Phyllis loved to hook rugs and create many other unique projects. She enjoyed cooking from scratch and happily taught everyone the needed skills. A simple, natural approach to life was her preference as she liked living off the land and appreciating its gifts. Phyllis also always enjoyed art and antiquing excursions to Lancaster County.

Mrs. Lachman is survived by her children: Robert J. Lachman and his wife, Kimberly, of Quakertown, Eric B. Lachman, and his wife, Megan, of Norfolk, VA, David B. Lachman, and his wife, Sara, of Doylestown, and Rebecca J. Patton, of Ottsville; and nine grandchildren: Annabelle, Jeremy, Calvin, Amanda, Adrienne, Alivia, Anastasia, Jayden, and Brielle.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Elayne Snowden, in 2017.

Her funeral service will be held at 12 noon, Monday, January 30, at Bethel Baptist Church, 754 East Rockhill Road, Sellersville, PA 18960, where a visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service.

Interment will follow in Sellersville Cemetery.
