Jeffrey H. Lachman, 53, a life-long resident of Plumsteadville, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, May 4, 2007, at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Phyllis J. (Taylor) Lachman. They were married for 34 years.
Born in Doylestown, he was a son of the late Harold and Dorothy Lachman. He was a 1971 graduate of Central Bucks West High School.
He was a US Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War.
He had been employed for 26 years as a truck driver with Haines and Kibblehouse, Blooming Glen.
Jeff was a longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church, Sellersville, where he had taught Sunday School , driven for the Bus Ministry, and assisted with various sports teams of the Upper Bucks Christian School. Along with his wife, he was a leader of the Unami 4H Club of Plumsteadville.
He enjoyed motor cross and all sports, especially Bethel Baptist street hockey.
He is survived by four children: Robert and his wife, Kimberly, of Quakertown; Eric and his wife, Megan, of Virginia Beach, VA; Rebecca Patton and her husband , Kevin, of Telford; and David, at home; four grandchildren: Annabelle, Jeremy, and Calvin Lachman of Quakertown; and Alivia Patton of Telford; and two sisters: Dr. Jackie Lachman and her husband, Virgil Cleveland, of Florida; and Melody Ewer and her husband, Mike, of Coopersburg.
His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 8, at 12:00 Noon at Bethel Baptist Church, 754 East Rockhill Road, Sellersville. Family and friends may call Tuesday morning at the church from 11:00 AM until time of service.
Interment will be in Sellersville Cemetery.
