Heino Laaster

Heino Laaster, 87, a 16 year resident of Souderton, formerly of Freeville, New York, passed away Monday morning, March 17, at his home. He was the husband of Helga (Sepp) Laaster, to whom he was married 64 years.
Born in Estonia, Mr. Laaster came to the United States in 1956 and settled near Ithaca, New York.
He had been employed for seventeen years in HVAC services at Cornell University, Ithaca. Prior to that, he had worked as an auto mechanic for Cayuga Motors, Ithaca.
Mr. Laaster enjoyed video photography and fishing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter: Pia Graham and her husband, Don, of West Rockhill Township; and five grandchildren: Alex, Eric, Krista, Sonnet, and Galen. He was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Disabled American Veterans Memorial Program, P. O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
