Paul Korom

January 25, 1945 — July 4, 2010

Paul Korom, 65, of Sellersville, passed away suddenly Sunday, July 4, while on vacation with his wife in Budapest, Hungary. He was the husband of Piroska (Baji) Korom for 40 years.

Born in Serbia (formerly Yugoslavia), he was the son of the late Paul and Rozalia (Bogdan) Korom.

He came to the United States in 1969.

Paul was employed in quality control with Baum Precision Machining, Pipersville.

He was a member of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Hilltown.

Paul had been very active with the Hungarian Club, Magyar Tanya, of Barto, serving on various committees. He also enjoyed soccer, serving as a PIAA referee for 22 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Paul Joseph Korom and his wife, Natalie, of Odenton, MD; Attila Stephen Korom and his fiancée, Ashley Hoyt, of Exton; and a granddaughter, Emelia Nicole Korom.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, July 23, at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Route 152 and Broad Street, Hilltown, PA 18927. A viewing will be held Thursday evening, July 22, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, at the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, and on Friday morning, July 23, in the church, from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM.

Interment will be conducted in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart parish cemetery, Hilltown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, P.O. Box 31, Hilltown, PA 18927 or to the Hungarian Club, Magyar Tanya, at Philadelphia and Vicinity Hungarian Sports Club, P.O. Box 156, Harleysville, PA 19438.
