Imogene M. "Dolly" Kopp, 79, a life-long resident of Perkasie, passed away on June 9, 2011, in Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience, Philadelphia. She was the beloved wife of Roy E. Kopp for 59 years.
Born in Perkasie, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Ella M. (Frey) Fosbenner. She was a 1950 graduate of Sell-Perk High School.
Mrs. Kopp was a long-time member of Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Almont, West Rockhill Township, where she had served on Church Council.
A clerical typist, she had been employed in the Bucks County Treasurer’s office, Doylestown, and at the U.S. Gauge, Sellersville.
Dolly had volunteered as a Brownie and Girl Scout leader. In her youth, she was a majorette for the former VFW Drum & Bugle Corps, Sellersville. All through school, she was a tap dancer and performed annually with Tony Grant’s All-Star Show at the Steel Pier, Atlantic City, New Jersey.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Linda Gay Bishop, of Sellersville; two grandchildren: Amanda N. Maraugha, and her husband, Don, of Pittsburgh; and Andrew T. Bishop, of Presidio, Texas; a great-granddaughter, Kylee Mae Maraugha, of Pittsburgh; a sister, Beverly Hager, and her husband, Marvin, of Perkasie; and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held Monday, June 13, 2011, at 11:00 AM in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960. Family and friends may call Monday morning, from 9:30 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville.
