Walton F. Kolb, a long-time resident of Sellersville, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022, in his residence at the Lutheran Community at Telford. He was 92.
He was the beloved husband of the late Bertha M. (Underkoffler) Kolb for 43 years until her death in 1996.
Born in Kulpsville, Walt was the son of the late Elwood S. and Emma (Freed) Kolb.
Mr. Kolb was a U. S. Army veteran, having served in Germany during the Korean War from 1952-1954.
Walt had worked at Perkasie Plastics for several years. He later was employed for 20 years at the former U. S. Gauge Division, Ametek, Inc., Sellersville, retiring in 1993.
Mr. Kolb was a long-time active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Sellersville, where he had served on Church Council and volunteered as a sexton and usher.
An avid hunter, Walt had also enjoyed woodworking, jigsaw puzzles, and playing games, especially pinochle. As a passionate fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, Walt never missed a game and had loved to attend in person when possible.
He especially loved spending time with his family and visiting the family cabin in Loganton. A people person, Walt loved making friends wherever he went. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends and remembered for his quick wit and ready smile.
Mr. Kolb is survived by his daughter, Kathy Holloway, and her husband, Phil, of Harleysville; three grandchildren: Amanda Shams and her husband, David, of Washington, D.C., Andrew Holloway and his wife, Lauren, of Springfield, and Jonathan Bent-Holloway and his wife, Lauralee, of Jersey City, NJ; four great-grandchildren: Lillian Holloway, Grace Holloway, Martha Shams, and Benjamin Shams; and his long-time companion, Mazie Seachrist, of Telford.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth W. “Kenny” Kolb, in 2011; three brothers: Harvey Kolb, Elwood Kolb, and Ralph Kolb; and a sister, Pearl Anders.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 23, in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (Ridge Valley), 910 Allentown Road, Sellersville, PA 18960, where a visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service. (The wearing of masks is respectfully recommended.)

Interment with military honors will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
