Mary Jane (Wenhold) Knechel

Mary Jane Knechel, 63, of Sellersville, formerly of Telford, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2012, at her residence. She was the beloved wife of Wayne A. Knechel for 43 years.

Born in Sellersville, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Beatrice (Gehman) Wenhold. Mary Jane was a 1968 graduate of Pennridge High School, Perkasie.

She had been employed as a certified nursing assistant for most of her adult life, working at LifePath, Inc., and Grand View Hospital, both of West Rockhill Township; and Elm Terrace Gardens and Cambridge Brightfield, both of Lansdale.

Mrs. Knechel was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ridge Valley, Sellersville.

In her spare time, she loved to crochet, sew, work in her flower garden, and do word search puzzles. She also enjoyed sitting on her porch and going to the beach. More than anything, her family was the biggest joy of her life.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Dwayne S. Knechel, of Sellersville; two daughters: Heather L. Schaar, and her husband, Jamie, of Fort Hood, Texas; and Stacy M. Arinsberg, and her husband, Jason, of Sellersville; two sisters: LouAnn Klock, and her husband, Dorse, of Telford; and Judy Williams, of North Carolina; three granddaughters: Kimberly Schaar, of Fort Hood, Texas; Julia Arinsberg; and Stephanie Arinsberg, both of Sellersville; and several nieces.

Her Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (Ridge Valley), 910 Allentown Road, Sellersville, PA 18960. Family and friends may call Wednesday morning at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. Interment will be in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Ridge Valley.
