Marion Veronica "Mickey" Keller, 91, formerly of Huntingdon Valley and Philadelphia, passed away in Luther Woods Convalescent Center, Horsham Township, on Saturday, December 17, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Francis Keller, Jr., for 46 years before his death in 1992.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late William E., Sr., and Catherine A. (Quinn) Coates. She had attended Olney High School, Philadelphia.
In her younger years, Mickey had been employed as a conductor for a Philadelphia Transit Company (PTC) trolley line. She had also worked as a hostess at the Towne Restaurant, Philadelphia. Later in life, she was a payroll clerk at Juniata Park Older Adult Center, Philadelphia.
In her spare time, Mrs. Keller participated in activities sponsored by the Juniata Park Older Adult Center. She also was a member of the Golden Artisans, a fraternal and social organization affiliated with the Artisans Order of Mutual Protection, Philadelphia.
Mickey loved dancing, singing, and playing cards. She also enjoyed fishing. Over the years, her favorite times were spent with family, friends, and her pet dogs: "Tiki," "Jojo," and "Splash."
She is survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, William J. Green, Jr., and two grandsons: William J. Green, III, and Charles Green.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, December 30, 2011, in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 1795 Columbia Avenue, Warrington, PA 18976. Family and friends may call at the church from 9:00 A.M. until time of Mass.
Interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mickey’s name to a charity of one’s choice.
