Thelma L. Kearney, 83, formerly a long-time resident of Quakertown, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2009, at her residence in Phoebe Richland Health Care Center, Richlandtown. She was the wife of the late William H. Kearney, Jr., who died in 1994.
Born in Bethlehem Township, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Mary (Schultheis) Raidline. She was a 1946 graduate of St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing, Fountain Hill.
A registered nurse, Mrs. Kearney was employed with Quakertown Hospital for 20 years, retiring in 1988. She was also a homemaker, who especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her three daughters: Kathleen Talaber, and her husband, Charles, of Allentown; Eileen Royer, and her husband, Terry, of Sellersville; and Susan Stroup, and her husband, Kevin, of Aston; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one brother, Robert G. Raidline, of Hecktown.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. in Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church (Almont), 733 Ridge Road, Sellersville, PA 18960.
Interment will be in Jerusalem Union Cemetery, Almont, West Rockhill Township.
