Mary B. (Mcfadyen) Hunter

October 10, 1936 — April 13, 2007

Mary B. Hunter, 70, of Sellersville, went home to be with our Lord, with her family by her side, Friday, April 13, in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township. She was the beloved wife of the late Forrest E. Hunter.

Born in Blantyre, Glasgow, Scotland, she was a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (O’Brien) McFadyen.

Mary came to the United States in 1960.

In Scotland, Mary had worked in several five star hotels. A waitress, she had most recently been employed by Zoto’s Diner-Restaurant, Line Lexington, for ten years.

Mary was a longtime member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville. She was also actively involved with AA.

She loved reading and enjoyed a variety of crafts projects. Mary also loved playing bingo and traveling to casinos.

She is survived by her two daughters: Tracey A. Pressley, Sellersville; and Lisa A. Stands and her husband, Ross, of Uncasville, CT; three grandchildren: Kyle R. Pressley and Shannon M. Pressley , both of Sellersville; and Nicole R. Stands, of Uncasville, CT; one brother: William McFadyen, Scotland; three sisters: Sadie Lowe, Scotland; Anne Fyfe and her husband, George, Scotland; and Rena Davidson and her husband, John , Scotland; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Lasley, and a brother, Frank McFadyen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, April 18, at 10: 00 AM in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville. Family and friends may call Tuesday evening from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville or at the church on Wednesday morning from 9:00 AM to 9: 45 AM.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
