Sara F. (Fosbenner) Hunsberger
December 11, 1919 — May 10, 2007
Sara F. Hunsberger, 87, a former resident of Sellersville, Green Lane and Lansdale, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2007, in the Carleton Senior Care Center, Wellsboro, PA. She was the wife of the late Paul Travers Hunsberger, who died in 1977.
Born in Unionville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Cornelius H. and Sara (Kratz) Fosbenner.
She had been employed at the former Lansdale Tube Company, Lansdale, and Schulmerich Carillons, Sellersville. She had also worked as an insurance agent in Lansdale and at a furniture factory in Souderton.
She was a former member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Sumneytown.
Before moving to Wellsboro, Sara had also resided in Florida for fourteen years.
She is survived by one son: Michael Russo, Jr., and his wife, Barbara M., of Wellsboro; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and a daughter-in-law, Ann Russo, Spring Mount, PA.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Louis Eugene Russo, who died in 1988, and seven brothers.
Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 16 at 11:00 AM in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville. Family and friends may call Wednesday morning, May 16 , from 10:00 AM until time of service.
Interment will be in Frieden’s Cemetery, Sumneytown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the charity of one’s choice.
