Mary M. High, 95, of the Country Arch Care Center, Pittstown, New Jersey, formerly of Sellersville, Alpha, New Jersey, and Milford, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2009, at her residence. She was the wife of the late George J. High.
Born in East Rockhill Township, she was the daughter of the late Blasius and Anna (Schaller) Kohl. She was raised in the Sellersville area.
Mrs. High was a homemaker most of her life.
She was a former member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville; St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Alpha, New Jersey; and St. Edward The Confessor Catholic Church, Milford, New Jersey. Most recently, she was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Annandale (Clinton Township), New Jersey. While attending St. Mary’s and St. Edward’s, Mary had been active with the Altar and Rosary Society and the Golden Age Club.
She had also been a member of the Riegel Ridge Senior Group, Milford, New Jersey; the Upper Bucks Senior Citizens, Kintnersville; and the Recycling Committee for Seniors, Milford, New Jersey.
Mrs. High enjoyed sewing and gardening.
She is survived by her daughter, Anne Marie Trimmer, and her husband, William, of Milford, New Jersey; three grandchildren: William Trimmer, of Bedminster, New Jersey; Joanne Miller, and her husband, Troy, of Frenchtown, New Jersey; and Laura Tapp, of Milford, New Jersey; four great-grandchildren: Tyler; Jennifer; Ashlee; and Katie; one sister, Elizabeth Parker, of Lima, Pennsylvania; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters: Barbara Christy; Agnes Trumbore; Catherine Wujick; and Viola Graf; and one brother, Frank Kohl.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, March 13, 2009, at 10:00 A.M. in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, where family and friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until 9:45 A.M. at the church.
Interment will be in St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery, Sellersville.
