Laura C. (Ulrich) Hendricks

Laura C. Hendricks, 93, of Telford, formerly a longtime resident of Perkasie, went Home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 21, in the Lutheran Community at Telford. She was the beloved wife of the late Warren R. Hendricks, who died in 1984.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late August and Bertha (Babecki) Ulrich. The family later moved to a farm in Bedminster, where she grew up.

Mrs. Hendricks was a homemaker.

She was a long-time member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Perkasie, where she had taught Sunday School for over twenty years. She was also a former chairperson of the Kitchen Committee.

Mrs. Hendricks was a member of the Pennridge Community Senior Center and a past president of the North Penn Auxiliary of the Germantown Lutheran Home. For over ten years, Laura also volunteered at Grand View Hospital.

With her husband, she was also a member of the Antique Car Club of America.

Laura loved to cook and bake. She also enjoyed traveling to exotic places around the world.

Mrs. Hendricks is survived by three sons: Warren R. "Abe" Hendricks, Jr., and his wife, Jane, of Sellersville; Darwin P. Hendricks, and his wife, Patricia, of Perkasie; Donald L. Hendricks, and his wife, Esther E., of Boyertown; six grandchildren: Diane, Scott, JoAnn, Jennifer, Kristin and Lois; and eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth M. Artz; two sisters: Martha Taylor, Helen Pearsall; and three brothers: Edward, Daniel, and Raymond Ulrich.

Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, October 26, at 11:30 AM in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 19 South Fifth Street, Perkasie, PA 18944, where family and friends may call beginning at 10:30 AM. Entombment will be in Perkasie Mausoleum.
