Dorothy (Lachance) Heinrichs
March 5, 1920 — July 25, 2009
Dorothy Heinrichs, 89, of Telford, formerly a 30-year resident of Quakertown, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2009, at Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township. She was the wife of the late William F. Heinrichs for 59 years, until his death in 2000.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Florence (Johnston) LaChance.
A homemaker for most of her adult life, Mrs. Heinrichs had been employed as a waitress in her younger years.
She had been a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter #471 and the American Legion Nase-Kraft Post 255, both of Sellersville.
Mrs. Heinrichs also loved to cook.
She is survived by her son, William E. Heinrichs, and his wife, Mary, of North Wales; three grandchildren: William, Christine, and Cynthia; nine great-grandchildren; one niece; and her beloved poodle, "Timmy."
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles McMullen.
Her Memorial Service will be held Friday, July 31, 2009, at 11:30 AM in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960. There are no calling hours.
Interment will be in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Perkasie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1617 JFK Boulevard, Suite 700, Philadelphia, PA 19103 or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International, 225 City Line Avenue, Suite 104, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
