Teresa C. Hein

February 13, 1924 — January 16, 2023

Teresa C. Hein, of Perkasie, formerly of Telford and Doylestown, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023, in Quakertown Center - Genesis HealthCare, Quakertown. She was 98.

She was the beloved wife of the late Edward F. Hein for 40 years until his death in 1991.

Born in Abington, she was the daughter of the late Patrick A. and Sarah Ann (McCollough) Connolly. Teresa was a 1942 graduate of Hatboro High School.

Mrs. Hein had been employed in a variety of jobs over the years, including production and packaging positions at the former Mrs. Paul’s Kitchens, of Doylestown; serving as a cashier at Arctic Food Store, of Cross Keys; and working for a home health care agency for 10 years.

A devout Catholic, Teresa was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville and a former member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Doylestown.

An avid gardener and beach-lover, Teresa also enjoyed swimming and picnics with her family. She was a passionate fan of the Philadelphia Phillies. She also enjoyed watching the Mummers Parade every New Year’s Day. Her greatest joy was in time spent with her family, especially looking after her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Time spent with her nephew, Patrick Connolly, and his four children during their visits from North Carolina was a big part of her life as well.

Mrs. Hein is survived by her daughter, Kathleen H. Pearson, and her husband, Paul, of Perkasie; two sons: Stephen M. Hein and his wife, Theresa, of Quakertown, and Michael Hein, of East Greenville; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and three step- great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Connolly; a brother, Michael Thomas Connolly; three half-sisters: Ann Lynch, Helen Dansby, and Mary Connolly; a step-son, Edward C. Hein; and a step-grandchild, Edward Samuel Hein.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am, Tuesday, January 24, in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, with a visitation from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.

Interment will follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler.
