Cynthia Hambach, of Lansdale, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at her residence on Friday, July 29, 2022. She was 61.
She was the beloved wife of Denny B. Hambach for 33 years.
Born in Philadelphia, Cindy was the daughter of Maryjane (Doherty) Singley and the late Edward H. Singley, Jr.
Cindy received her R.N. diploma from the Frankford Hospital School of Nursing, Philadelphia, her BSN from Pennsylvania State University, University Park, and her MSN from Widener University, Chester. She had just been awarded her PhD in Nursing from Villanova University in May 2021.
Dr. Hambach had most recently been employed as a clinical professor in the College of Nursing and Health Professions at Drexel University, Philadelphia, teaching various courses in the RN-BSN completion program. Previously, she had taught courses in the undergraduate nursing program. Throughout her career, Cindy had worked as a staff nurse, a staff educator, and clinical nurse specialist. She was a certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN-K).
She was a member of Sigma Theta Tau and the Southeastern PA Chapter of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
Cindy was a member of Upper Dublin Lutheran Church, Ambler.
In addition to her husband and mother, Cindy is survived by her two children, Bryce and Alicia; her brother, E.J. Singley; her sister, Kelli Barlow; and many nieces and nephews.
Her Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 13, in Upper Dublin Lutheran Church, 411 Susquehanna Road, Ambler, PA 19002, where the family will greet visitors from 9 a.m. until time of service.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
