Linda M. (Worman) Gwin

October 19, 1943 — July 15, 2008

Linda M. Gwin, 64, a long-time resident of Sellersville, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, Tuesday morning, July 15, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. She was the beloved wife of John Gwin, to whom she was married for 42 and one-half years.

Born in West Rockhill Township, she was the daughter of the late Stanley H. and Gladys (Worthington) Worman. She was a 1961 graduate of Pennridge High School.

Linda had worked as a nurse at the former Sacred Heart Hospital, Norristown and for a private practice physician for many years.

She was a life-long member of St. Andrew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Perkasie, where she had served on Church Council, the Christian Education Committee, and the Altar Guild. She had also taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School and volunteered with the Prayer Chain.

Linda enjoyed reading, cooking, and gardening and spending time with her beloved pets.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sisters and brother: Dottie Frederick and her husband, Clarence, Sellersville; Donald Worman and his wife, Linda, Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Marianne Moyer and her husband, Ward, Sellersville; several nieces and nephews; and her two cats: "Pierre" and "Dolly."

Her Memorial Service will be held Friday evening, July 18, at 7:00 PM in St. Andrew’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Dill Avenue and Chestnut Street, Perkasie. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Linda’s memory to the Building and Renovation Fund of St. Andrew’s Ev. Lutheran Church, PO Box 257, Perkasie, PA 18944.
