Marie B. Godlewski, 93, of Quakertown, formerly of Sellersville, returned to her Holy Father Monday, February 7, 2011, in Phoebe Richland Health Care, Richlandtown. She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence Godlewski for 47 years until his death in 2003.
Born in Quakertown, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Anna (Eckert) Biehn.
Mrs. Godlewski had been employed for many years as a telephone operator at PP&L, Allentown.
She was a longtime member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville, where she had been active with the CYAA.
Marie had enjoyed playing the piano for her family.
Mrs. Godlewski is survived by two sisters: Catherine "Kiffy" Bergey, of Hatfield; and Ruth Lang, of Quakertown; two brothers: Charles Biehn, and his wife, Elsie, of Souderton; and Francis Biehn, and his wife, Betty, of Pennsburg; two sisters-in-law: Eleanor Marsteller; and Lenore Souder, and her husband, James, all of Perkasie; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Biehn, and four sisters: Rita Pepe, Margaret "Peggy" Decembrino, Elizabeth "Betty" Waldspurger, and Anna Marie Trumbauer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 11, 2011, at 10:00 AM in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960. Family and friends may call Thursday evening, February 10, at the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM and at the church Friday morning from 9:00 AM until 9:50 AM.
Interment will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Warrington Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made St. Agnes Catholic Church at the above address.
