Francis K. Gerhart

Francis K. Gerhart, 92, of the Rockhill Mennonite Commuity, West Rockhill Township, formerly of Skippack, died Monday, August 11, 2008, at his residence. He was the husband of Alverda (Kratz) Gerhart, also of the Rockhill Mennonite Community, for 65 years.
Born in Hosensack, PA (Lehigh County) on March 10, 1916, he was the son of the late George A. and Amanda K. (Kriebel) Gerhart. He and his wife moved into Rockhill Mennonite Community in 1999.
Mr. Gerhart had been employed by Hatfield Packing Company for 25 years, retiring in 1978.
He was a member of Berean Bible Church in Pottstown, being active in many church programs all his life.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a foster son, John Cichockii, of Maine; a foster daughter, Barbara (Cichocki) Schwenk, of Virgina, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers, four sisters and a foster son, Walter Cichocki.
Graveside Services will be held Friday afternoon, August 15, at 2:00 PM in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville. There are no calling hours.
