Stella R. Frick, 94, of Richlandtown, formerly of Sellersville, passed away Sunday, November 18, at her residence in Phoebe Richland Health Care Center, Richlandtown. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert S. Frick, Jr. for 60 years, until his death in 2003.
Born in Blooming Glen, she was the daughter of the late William M. and Irene (Kratz) Rosenberger.
Stella attended Hilltown High School and graduated from Souderton High School in 1936.
A 1939 graduate of Grand View Hospital School of Nursing, she had been employed as a registered nurse at Grand View and manager of its Skilled Nursing Unit for ten years.
Mrs. Frick was a lifelong member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Sellersville, where she was active with WELCA, the Women of the Church group. She also served as a lector, usher, and greeter.
A member of the Grand View Hospital Auxiliary, she had also volunteered at the Lutheran Community at Telford.
Stella enjoyed knitting, making sweaters, hats and scarves for her sons and granddaughters. Always active, she continued swimming until age 85. She especially enjoyed singing with her friends at Phoebe Richland.
Mrs. Frick is survived by her three sons: Robert S. Frick, III, of West Bloomfield, Michigan; Alan S. Frick and his wife, Joan, of Sellersville; Michael S. Frick, and his wife, Kathleen, of Hummelstown; six grandchildren: Heather, Kelly, Courtney, Samantha, Steven, and Sarah; and twin great-granddaughters: Stella Jane and Lia Karen.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Elsie Rosenberger; a brother, Oscar K. Rosenberger; and a daughter-in-law, Karen Frick.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 23, in St. Michael’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 25 East Church Street, Sellersville, PA 18960. Family and friends may call at the church Friday morning from 10:00 AM until time of service.
Interment will follow in Sellersville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael’s Lutheran Church at the above address.
