Morris C. "Moose" Frederick

December 13, 1923 — March 2, 2009

Morris C. "Moose" Frederick, 85, formerly of Lansdale, died Monday, March 2, 2009, surrounded by his family at The Villages, Florida. He was the husband of Kathryn Virginia (Yoder) Frederick.

Born in Lansdale, he was the son of the late Clinton S. and Bertha (Bergey) Frederick.

Mr. Frederick was the owner/operator of C. S. Frederick and Son, a painting and paperhanging business. After his retirement, he worked at Twin Woods Golf Course, Hatfield.

"Moose" was a Boy Scout leader and a member of the Lansdale Jaycees and the Lansdale Lions Club.

He was an avid golfer and fisherman, traveling to remote Canadian fishing destinations. His other interests included gardening, especially raising orchids, vegetables, and chrysanthemums.

Mr. Frederick moved to The Villages, Florida, in 1995.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Richard Frederick, and his wife, Jenis, of Reading; a daughter, Susan Kraekel, and her husband, Ronald, of Sellersville; a sister, Dawn Krupp, of Lansdale; six grandchildren: William Kraekel; Jennifer (Kraekel) Bedford; Ronald Kraekel; Ian Frederick; Kate Frederick; and Julie Frederick; and five great-grandchildren.

His Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2009, at 3:00 P.M. in St. Andrew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dill Avenue and Chestnut Street, Perkasie, PA 18944. There will be no calling hours.

Interment will be private.

Memorial donations may be made to The Boy Scouts of America, Cradle of Liberty Council, 22nd and Winter Streets, Philadelphia, PA 19103-1085.
