Joseph C. Fahy, 73, of Blooming Glen, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away early Monday morning, February 18, at Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Murty M. and Anna (Gilligan) Fahy. He was a graduate of North East Catholic High School, Philadelphia.
Mr. Fahy was a U. S. Air Force veteran, having served stateside during the Korean War.
He was employed as a postal worker with the United States Postal Service, Philadelphia for most of his life.
Mr. Fahy was a member of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hilltown and was formerly a member of St. Ambrose and Corpus Christi parishes, Philadelphia.
He was a very good son, a loving brother, and a favorite uncle to all his nieces and nephews.
Mr. Fahy is survived by his four sisters and brothers: Sister Marie Gerald, SSJ, Flourtown; Lawrence Fahy, Philadelphia; Thomas E. Fahy and his wife, Peggy, North Wales; Alice J. Munn, Blooming Glen; seven nieces and nephews; fifteen great-nieces and great-nephews; and one great-great niece.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, The Rev. Murty M. Fahy, OSFS.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, February 21, at 10: 00 AM in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, Route 152 and Broad Street, Hilltown, PA 18927. Family and friends may call Thursday morning at the church from 9:00 AM until 9:45 AM.
Interment will be in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
