Geraldine M. Donohue, 83, of Sellersville, formerly a long-time resident of Allentown, passed away Saturday, May 3, in VNA Hospice of St. Luke’s, Lower Saucon Township. She was the wife of the late John T. Donohue, who died in 1977.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Elsie (Trexler) Klechner.
A homemaker for most of her life, Mrs. Donohue had been employed in the accounting department at Mack Truck, Allentown and as a munitions inspector at Bethlehem Steel, Bethlehem in her younger years.
She had attended St. Michael’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sellersville in recent years.
Mrs. Donohue loved to garden, work crossword puzzles, and play card games.
She is survived by her daughter: Patricia A. Donohue, Sellersville; one granddaughter, Rachel Wehr, Emmaus; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Frank G. Klechner, Allentown.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Larry Jackson, in 2005; a brother, Richard Klechner; and a sister, Jeanne Freyman.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 8, at 10:30 AM in St. Mark’s Cemetery, 103 West Lexington Street, Allentown, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Donohue’s memory to St. Michael’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 25 East Church Street, Sellersville, PA 18960.
