Betty M. (Godshall) Devine

Betty M. Devine, 69, of Hatfield, formerly of Souderton, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2012, in St. Luke’s Hospital — Bethlehem Campus, Fountain Hill. She was the beloved wife of the late Amos Devine.

Born in Lansdale, she was the daughter of the late Elias B. and Edna N. (Metzger) Godshall. Betty was a 1960 graduate of Pennridge High School, Perkasie.

She had worked as a seamstress at Schoeneman Clothing Factory/Sun-Lite Shops, formerly of Souderton. Betty had also been employed at the Daily Dryer, formerly of Hilltown. She later retired from the kitchen staff at Peter Becker Community, Harleysville.

Mrs. Devine was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, East Rockhill Township.

She is survived by her two brothers: Charles Godshall, and his wife, Nancy, of Hatfield; and Jim Godshall, and his wife, May, of Souderton; several step-children; and several nieces and nephews.

Her Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, in Bethel Baptist Church, 754 East Rockhill Road, Sellersville, PA 18960. Family and friends may call at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of service.

Interment will be in Little Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Franconia Township.
