Ruth E. Dahling of Sellersville, formerly of Perkasie, Cape Coral, Florida and Philadelphia, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at her residence. She was 85.
She was the beloved wife of the late William C. Dahling for 65 years until his death in 2012.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Evangeline (Santa Cruz) Kunze.
Mrs. Dahling was a homemaker.
Ruth was a past member of the former Rockledge chapter of the Eastern Star. While living in Florida, she was a member of the Cape Coral Yacht Club-Crafters Club.
A passionate Anglophile, Ruth loved all aspects of English history, especially anything relating to the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. She even wrote to the Queen and received a response.
Ruth also enjoyed cooking, sewing, and doing crafts. She particularly loved to travel, and she was most dedicated to spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson.
Mrs. Dahling is survived by her two daughters: Sharan Havel, of Wrightstown; Arlene Nolfi, of Sellersville; three grandchildren: Kellie Marshall and her husband, Daniel; Robert Kuehne, III, all of Sellersville; Alexandra Smith and her husband, Matthew, of Broomfield, Colorado; a great-grandson, Zachary Marshall, of Sellersville; and two sisters: Mary Sachs, of Manahawkin, NJ and Elizabeth Magee, of Boynton Beach, FL.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, Albert, and Harold Kunze.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 11, in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 N. Main St., Sellersville, PA 18960. There are no calling hours.
Interment will be private in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
The family kindly requests no flowers. In lieu of flowers, they would appreciate donations, in memory of Ruth E. Dahling, to Grand View Hospice, 700 Lawn Avenue, Sellersville, PA 18960.
