Naomi M. Cressman

June 18, 1915 — April 30, 2019

Naomi M. Cressman, of Richlandtown, formerly of Quakertown, Perkasie, and Sellersville, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, in Phoebe Richland Health Care Center, Richlandtown. She was 103.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Annie (Wenhold) Wagner.

Naomi had been a homemaker. In addition, she had been employed for many years as a sales manager for the former Jacques de Loux, Inc., the Sellersville-based sweater factory that enjoyed both a local and national clientele. Naomi had been directly involved with sales of cashmere sweaters to former late-night TV host, Johnny Carson. She had also modeled sweaters for de Loux advertising campaigns.

Naomi had also spent time at Philadelphia’s Channel 17 directing TV programming.

Always an avid outdoorswoman, Naomi had enjoyed archery and horseback riding. She had also liked visiting state parks. Most extraordinarily, at age 101, with her grandson by her side, Naomi briefly piloted a 1979 Piper PA-28, a life-long dream finally fulfilled. This event made the cover of the Phoebe Health Care magazine, The Messenger, and also received coverage in the Morning Call.

Naomi is survived by her son, Earl Scott Cressman, of Coopersburg; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dory Reinert, and three sisters, Dorothy Raudenbush, Peggy Carr, and Claire Lofland.
