Alphonse C. “Chuck” Craig, 65, of Sellersville, passed away Friday, April 26, at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Lena (Detwiler) Craig for 40 years.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Leslie and Dorothy (Jones) Craig.
Chuck was a veteran of the U.S. Marines Corps, having served during the Vietnam War.
He had been employed at the former Lansdale Plumbing Warehouse, Lansdale and later with the North Penn Water Authority. Most recently, he had worked for many years in the custodial department of the Pennridge School District.
Mr. Craig was a member of First Baptist Church of Lansdale.
Chuck was a life member of the Sellersville Fire Department and its Fire Police. He had volunteered at the annual carnival, with the Fishing Derby, and helped to maintain the Grove. He had also been instrumental in the formation of the former Sellersville Town Watch.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Charles A. “Chuck” Craig, of Sellersville.
His memorial service will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, May 11, 2013, in First Baptist Church of Lansdale, 700 North Broad Street, Lansdale, PA 19446. Family and friends may call at the church Saturday from 12 p.m. to time of service.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
