Doris Lutz Coleman, 82, of Allentown, died Sunday morning, November 9, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Hospice Unit, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Carl Parker Coleman.
Born in Sellersville, she was a daughter of the late Earl Stuart and Verna (Whitman) Lutz. She was a 1945 graduate of Edgewood Park College, Briarcliff Manor, NY.
Mrs. Coleman had been employed as a management intern and cosmetic buyer for Lord & Taylor, NY. She had also had been the assistant general merchandise manager for Frank & Seder Department Stores, Philadelphia. She had taught at Allentown Business School and was last employed with Emil Otto, Allentown.
She was a member of Episcopal Church of the Mediator, Allentown, where she had served on the Vestry, various commissions, and had taught Sunday School. Mrs. Coleman had been a past board member and Program Chairperson of the Allentown Woman’s Club and a member of the Junior League of Troy, NY.
She is survived by her four children: John Coleman and his wife, Chris, Atlanta, GA; Carl Coleman, Allentown; Earlaine Klingler, and her husband, Carl, South Whitehall Township; Kara Coleman, Allentown; and two grandsons: Michael and Brett Klingler.
Her Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, November 11, at 11:00 AM in Episcopal Church of the Mediator, 1620 Turner St., Allentown, PA 18102.
Interment in Sellersville Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
