Audrey J. Clemmer, of Perkasie, formerly of Telford and Souderton, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023, in Quakertown Center, Quakertown. She was 80.
She was the wife of the late Stanley D. Clemmer until his death in 1994.
Born in Salisbury Township, Lehigh County, she was the daughter of the late William H. Jr. and Evelyn E. (Luckey) Diehl.
Audrey attended Emmaus High School, later earning her GED in 1995.
Mrs. Clemmer had been employed as a custodian for 25 years by the Souderton School District until taking a disability retirement in 1995. Since 2005, she had worked part-time answering phones for New Station Pizza, in Souderton. When younger, she had also worked at various local sewing factories.
Audrey was a long-time member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, Sellersville.
Over the years, she had enjoyed attending Bingo at the Sellersville Firehouse. She also liked coloring, but she most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Clemmer is survived by her daughter, Amanda R. Diehl, of Sellersville; two grandchildren: Alisha Diehl and Alexis Diehl; a nephew, Jeremy A. Diehl; a stepbrother, David Aldredge, of Texas; three half-brothers: Charles G. Diehl, John V. Diehl, and Thomas V. Diehl; a half-sister, Mary Ann Diehl; numerous nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Clemmer.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert M. Diehl; a brother-in-law, Weldon D. Clemmer; and a sister-in-law, Pauline Stoneback.
Graveside services in Sellersville Cemetery will be private at the convenience of the family.
