Robert T. Christy, Sr., 65, of Perkasie, passed away Monday, July 2, 2012, at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Teri R. (Otto) Christy for 24 years.
Born in McKeesport (Allegheny County), he was a son of the late Edwin and Mildred (Baxendell) Christy.
Mr. Christy was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, who served in country during the Vietnam War.
Bob had worked in the steel mills in Pittsburgh. More recently, he had been employed locally with Moyer & Son, Souderton, and A & T Chevrolet, Sellersville.
An avid Eagles and Steelers fan, Bob also enjoyed fishing, doing crossword puzzles, and watching golf on TV. He loved mowing and maintaining his lawn.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three sons: Robert T. Christy, Jr., of Bellefonte; Lee Barrett, of Philadelphia; and Thomas E. Christy, of Perkasie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved dog, “Jake.”
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. A private interment with full military honors will be conducted in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to the Bucks County SPCA, 1665 Street Road, Box 277, Lahaska, PA 18931.
