William H. Buckman, Sr., of Bedminster, formerly of Sellersville, passed away at his residence on Sunday, September 23, 2012. He was the husband of Julia (Bialobrzeski) Buckman for 32 years. He was 67.
Born in Trenton, NJ, he was the son of the late Warren E., Sr. and Dorothy E. (Davison) Buckman. Bill was a 1963 graduate of Council Rock High School.
Mr. Buckman was a U. S. Army veteran, having served at Walter Reed Military Hospital, Washington D.C. during the Viet Nam War.
Bill had been employed for many years as a truck driver for Farm & Home Oil Company, Telford. He had also worked as a horse groomer and with horse transports throughout the East Coast.
As a young man, he had been a member of 4H, serving one year in Honduras on a 4H Club IFE exchange. He also had been a member of the American Legion, Quakertown.
Bill enjoyed farming and breeding, raising, and training Arabian horses.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Buckman is survived by four sons: Don Buckman and his wife, Kristen, of Bedminster; Jeff Buckman and his wife, Shannon, of Perkasie; William Buckman, Jr. and his wife, Shannon, of Red Hill; Chris Buckman and his wife, Megan, of Perkasie; eleven grandchildren: Hailey; Josh; Caleb; Olivia; Hannah; Bill, III; Madison; Greg; Brayden; Robert; and Paul; many nieces and nephews; and his mother-in-law, Helen (Jurick) Bialobrzeski, of Bedminster.
His memorial service will be held at 11a.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations to the Steeley Funeral Home at the address above to help defray costs.
