Kathleen M. (Rash) Buck

Kathleen Mary Buck, 60, of West Rockhill Township, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010, in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township. She was the wife of Willard E. Buck, Esq., for four years.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Harry W. and Harriet V. (Knowles) Rash. Kathleen grew up in Tylersport, graduated from Souderton Area High School in 1967 and got her cosmetology license in 1969.

From 1974 to 1980, she owned and operated her own hair salon in Telford. Kathleen was later employed by various local salons. In 2005, she became a certified nurse’s aide and was employed by Community Home Health Services, Souderton.

Kathleen was a devout member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville, for many years.

An accomplished horseback rider, she owned many horses throughout her life and loved riding and doing dressage. Kathleen also enjoyed gardening, reading, and visiting her grandchildren in North Carolina.

In addition to her husband, Kathleen is survived by her three children: Kristine M. Lodge, and her husband, Ross, of Eugene, Oregon; Thomas F. Funch, of West Rockhill Township; and Jennifer E. Simmons, and her husband, Brett, of Rockingham, North Carolina; two granddaughters: Anastasia and Cordelia Simmons, both of Rockingham, North Carolina; two sisters: Harriet Rash, of Hatfield; and Theresa A. Lewis, and her husband, John, of Milford Square; and two brothers: Paul J. Rash, and his wife, Patricia, of Quakertown; and Harry W. Rash, Jr., and his wife, Sheree, of Tylersport.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 26, 2010, in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960. Family and friends may call Friday morning at the church from 9:00 AM until time of Mass.

Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
