Donald L. Brent, 77, of Sellersville, formerly of Quakertown and Florida, passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2012, in St. Luke’s VNA Hospice House, Lower Saucon Township.
Born in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late George Thomas and Marjorie (Heeke) Brent.
Mr. Brent was a U.S. Army veteran, having served as a medic during the Korean War.
Donald had been employed as a meat cutter at various supermarkets.
He was a Catholic.
Don loved to garden and to play golf. In his earlier years he had enjoyed playing the trumpet.
Mr. Brent is survived by his two sons: Robert Brent, of Richmond, Virginia; Timothy Brent, of Lansing, Michigan; two grandchildren: Ryan and Regan; a great-grandson; a sister, Marie Baskin, of Sellersville; two brothers: Ronald Brent and his wife, Wanda, of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; Michael Brent, Sr. and his wife, Patricia, of Sellersville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Edward Brent and George Brent.
His funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 28, 2012, in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 9:00 AM until time of service.
Interment with military honors will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
