Thomas Bolger, Jr., 63, a ten year resident of Mechanicsburg , formerly of Philadelphia, passed away early Saturday morning, October 6, at Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown .
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Thomas and Sarah (Murphy) Bolger. He was a 1961 graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School, Philadelphia. .
A U. S. Navy veteran, Mr. Bolger served in the Aleutian Islands and Japan during the Vietnam War.
He was employed for 25 years as a computer analyst by the U. S. Navy Depot in Philadelphia and Mechanicsburg, retiring in 2000.
Mr. Bolger was a member of St. Joseph’s Church and the Legion of Mary, both of Mechanicsburg. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge No.1539, Sellersville, and the American Legion, Mechanicsburg.
He is survived by two sisters: Julia A. Davidson and her husband, William R., Souderton; Mary Brennan, Hilltown; two brothers: Patrick J. Bolger, Philadelphia; Frank B. Bolger and his wife, DeChantal, Philadelphia; a sister-in law, Regina Bolger, Hilltown; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Bolger, and a nephew, Tommy Brennan.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, October 10, at 10: 00 AM in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, Route 152 and Broad Street, Hilltown , PA 18927. Family and friends may call Wednesday morning at the church from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM.
Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Philadelphia .
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Church, PO Box 2012, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
