Paul Joseph Bennis, 55, of Perkasie, entered into Eternal Life on Friday, June 26, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, Allentown.
He was the beloved husband of Janice (Peacock) Bennis for 28 years and the father of Stefanie L. Bennis, of Perkasie.
Born in Abington, he was the son of Joan (Albrecht) Bennis, of Whiting, New Jersey, and the late John J. Bennis.
Paul is also survived by his three sisters: Joan C. Gilland and her husband, Howard, of Medford, New Jersey; Lynn A. Liwen and her husband, Greg, of Lynchburg, Virginia; Mary E. Guglielmi and her husband, Tony, of Horsham; his mother-in-law, Doris Peacock, of Warminster; twelve nieces and nephews; and his companion, “Dusty,” the family’s Labrador Retriever.
He was recently preceded in death by his father –in-law, James Peacock
Paul was a 1979 graduate of Archbishop Wood High School, Warminster.
Paul had owned and operated Right Angle Construction, of Perkasie, building custom cabinetry and all phases of construction.
He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville.
An avid scuba diver, Paul had earned qualification as a Master Scuba Diver. He had also enjoyed underwater photography. Paul loved the outdoors, camping, and grilling. A fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, he was an avid hunter as well. He also very much enjoyed doing woodworking.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 2, in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, with a visitation from 9 a.m. until 10:15 a.m.
Interment will be conducted privately in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the John and Dorothy Morgan Cancer Center, Development Department, Lehigh Valley Health Network, 2100 Mack Blvd., 6th Floor, Allentown, PA 18105 (with checks made payable to Lehigh Valley Health Network) or to St. Agnes Catholic Church at the address above.
