Gerald P. Beatty, Jr.

Gerald P. “Jerry” Beatty, Jr. passed away peacefully on January 15, 2014, in the VA Hospice Center. He was 48 years old.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Mary Beatty Marzin and the late Gerald Beatty, Sr.
Jerry was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Germany during the mid -1980’s.
He lived most of his life in Philadelphia, where he had been employed as a mechanic. In recent years, he relocated to Brewer, Maine.
He touched the lives of many and will be sadly missed by all.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sisters: Colleen Green and her husband, Joe; Mary Ellen Maguire and her husband, Harry; Cindy Schmell and her husband, Bob; many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces; cousins, and friends.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kevin.
A memorial service was held in Maine.
A private interment with full military honors was conducted in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
