Nadine Baj, 40, of Quakertown, formerly of Perkasie, passed away late Friday evening, April 10, 2009, at her residence, surrounded by her family, after battling breast cancer for 18 months. She was the wife of Peter F. Baj, with whom she celebrated 14 years of marriage this past December.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Charles Esposito, Philadelphia, and the late Ernestine "Tina" (Janus) Esposito. She was the stepdaughter of Denise (Griffies) Esposito, Philadelphia.
Nadine was a graduate of Archbishop Ryan High School and La Salle University, Philadelphia. She received her Master’s degree from Central Michigan University.
Mrs. Baj had been employed by the Federal government in the defense industry for 19 years. Since 2005, she had worked for Lockheed-Martin and L3 Corporation.
She was a member of St. Andrew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Perkasie, where she taught Sunday School and had coordinated the Saintly Suppers.
Nadine coached girls’ soccer for the Pennridge Yellowjackets and, later, for the Quakertown Soccer Club, where she had served on the Executive Board.
Mrs. Baj loved children and was a dedicated advocate for the individual rights of all youngsters.
In addition to her husband, father, and stepmother, she is survived by her three daughters: Melissa K. Baj; Kimberly M. Baj; and Holly K. Baj, all of Quakertown; three sisters: Andrea Stuhr, and her husband, Joseph, of Quakertown; Kimberly Campbell, and her husband, Chris, of Coatesville; and Kelly Hogan, and her husband, Chris, of Philadelphia; three brothers: Michael Lally, and his wife, Stacy, of Feasterville; Thomas Lally, and his fiancée, Melissa, of Harrisburg; and Matthew Lally, and his wife, Chrystal, of Philadelphia; and three nephews: Joey, Jayson, and Andrew Stuhr, all of Quakertown.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. in St. Andrew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dill Avenue and Chestnut Street, Perkasie, PA 18944. Family and friends may call at the church on Tuesday evening, April 14, from 7:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. and on Wednesday morning, from 9:30 A.M. until time of service.
Interment will be in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.
