Evan R. Aker, of Ambler, formerly of Sellersville, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024, at his residence. He was 58.
Born in Sellersville, he was the son of Barbara A. (Detweiler) Aker, of Sellersville. Evan was a 1984 graduate of Pennridge High School.
Evan had been employed for 28 years as a fork lift driver and assembler by Wesco Industrial Products LLC, of North Wales.
Always a Classic Rock music lover, Evan had enjoyed playing his acoustic guitar. When younger, he had also loved road cycling.
In addition to his mother, Evan is survived by his brother, Edward F. Aker, and his sister, Linda Boyer, both of Sellersville; two nieces: Erica Boyer, of Horsham, and Deidre Boyer, of Perkasie; a great-nephew, Adam Earnest, of Horsham; and an aunt, Kathy Evans, of Telford.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Russel and Lucy (Hartl) Detweiler.
His funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, August 12, in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, 87 North Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, where a visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until time of service.
Interment will follow in St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Sellersville (Ridge Valley).
