Obituary for Robert A. Kitchen, Jr.
Robert Allen Kitchen, Jr., of Telford, formerly of Bath, PA, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023, in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township. He was 69.
He was the husband of Sharon L. (Pysher) Kitchen for ten years until her death in 2011.
Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Robert A., Sr. and Sophie (Heffner) Kitchen. Bobby attended the former Lincoln Technical Institute, in Nazareth.
He had been employed for 30 years in the housekeeping department of Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth, until retiring in 2005.
Mr. Kitchen was a member of Morning Star Fellowship Church, Quakertown.
An avid gardener, Bobby had also enjoyed taking long walks with “Bubbles,” his puppy; listening to country music, especially his favorite singer, Johnny Cash, and watching old TV Westerns and comedies. As a younger man, he had liked organizing family fishing trips as well.
Though retired, Bobby liked to keep busy and always had a project of some type to tackle. He particularly loved holiday family gatherings.
Mr. Kitchen is survived by his son, Sean Kitchen, and his wife, Carolyn, of Quakertown; his daughter, Kimberly Kitchen; three grandchildren: Katie Kershner, Lanessa, and Ben; a sister, Betty; a half-sister, Sharon; a niece, Amanda; and his first wife, Barbara Kitchen.
His graveside service will be held at 12 PM, Friday, April 28, 2023, in Plainfield Cemetery, 1422 Church Road, Plainfield Township, PA 18072.
